BCavi is a hair care company founded in Miami, Florida, that offers premium hair and scalp serums. Our Story
In August of 1994, Jason Tavares took a leap of faith and moved to NYC to pursue his dream of becoming a hair stylist. It is here where Jason attended LIBS beauty school in the heart of Manhattan. After completing school, he landed a job at Salon DNB, a famous Japanese Salon. At Salon DNB, Jason realized that hair and beauty are his passion and craving for a higher-end and exclusive clientele. This search is what led him to his first celebrity client, while many more exclusive clients followed after a successful stint in NYC, Jason moved to Philadelphia to further his education in hair and hair care at the Epire Beauty School.

Upon graduation, Jason took a job as a master stylist at, the famous, Pierre n Carlo Haute Coiffure Salon in the early 2000s. Jason became the salon’s only multicultural hair stylist. The leadership group at the salon was impressed with Jason’s work that they began to give him corporate contracts and he began working with major companies like Warner Brothers, and Lion’s Gate. During this time, he worked with celebrity clientele such as Logan Browning, Terrena Howard, Bernie Mac, Ice Cube, Ryan Guzzman, and countless others. Because of his success at the salon, he was sent to and trained at L’Oreal Headquarters in Paris, France.
Upon returning to the States Jason began to work for Nicole Miller’s Bridal Fashion Show which landed him as her only Hair and Makeup artist in the Philadelphia area for the next 5 years. His success in this space led him to start his own Bridal Company which saw him work over 200 weddings, including the famous Anisimova wedding at the Walldorf Astoria. At this time, Jason decided to leave salons and launch his own brand, JTAVAR. After launching his own brand he has worked with several major TV networks including VH1, BET, MTV, E!, Bravo, OWN, TV One, and We.
Jason is now known as a top-tier stylist in the industry who specializes in Black and Afro-Latina hair. He has worked with the likes of Tina Knowles, Cookie Johnson, Holly Robinson Peete, Princess Love, Cynthia Bailey, AJ Johnson, Black Chyna, Delicious, and Shenelle Jones. Through extensive education in hair and over 25 years in the industry Jason’s next plan is to introduce the JTavar Experience haircare line to the world where he will offer a luxurious and complete hair care line at an affordable price.
